TSM’s Lust List: Dreaming of … Christian Grey, I mean, Christian Louboutins

I’ve been a relaxing around at home in PJs and bathrobes lately, spending most of my time with family and catching up with friends indoors in the cold weather and I struggle to remember the last time I wore heels. It was probably at least two weeks ago for work and as daggy as I am, my toasty warm feet are loving me as I pad around the house in fluffy slippers making tea and indulging in Arnott’s Mint Slices and Tim Tams as I write this post.

My friend Chai is a true heels lover, in fact, she’s one of those super women who can can wear heels anywhere and everywhere for full days without a single complaint. That’s an impressive feat (mind the pun!) considering she lived in London and we constantly climbed stairs for the tube, ran for buses and never had the luxury of owning a car for grocery shopping. She always looks great though and I’m envious because I can only manage heels for work, after work drinks (you know, because drinks numb pain) and special occasions. Are you like my friend Chai? How often do you wear heels?

If I could afford these (the answer is no) and my passion for Jimmy Choos, Christian Louboutins was as strong as Chai’s, these would be on top of my T-Styled Lust List for investment heels …

1. Charlotte Olympia Satin Pumps

These are 4” heels are available from MyTheresa.com

I love that Charlotte Olympia collections have that 1940s feel to them and as I’m not overly adventurous with heels I can imagine these neutral coloured shoes being timeless for times for weddings and parties.

2. Charlotte Olympia Dolly Suede Slingback Pumps

Available at MyTheresa.comΒ and Netaporter.com

These gravity defying Dolly shoes have Charlotte Olympia’s signature island platform meaning you’ll be towering over everyone despite still walking on 4” heels. I love Suede as an alternative to patent or plain leather but I don’t think I could walk around practically in these as gorgeous as they are! But I know a lot of you girls probably could!

3. Christian Louboutin Chiarana Cut Out Leather Pumps

While on the topic of black investment heels I came across this pair ….

Sigh – Once again I don’t know if I could walk for more than 30 seconds in these 4.5” stilettos but it doesn’t stop me from lusting after a pair of shoes with a red soul, I mean, sole. As Β much as I’d like to hate them because they’re so expensive, there’s just something undeniably sexy about owning and wearing a pair of much coveted Christian Louboutins. If I ever get the opportunity to wear a pair of my own, I’ll definitely let you know if it’s worth the fuss!

4. Charlotte Olympia Dotty Suede Pumps – Blush

Love the colour and … these are on sale!

5. Charlotte Olympia Paloma fan-pleat satin pumps

These are available in an array of colours … I love the red!

Available on Netaporter.comΒ and as seen on Olivia Palermo below (in black)

This is one of my all time favourite outfits – Olivia Palmero does Parisian chic beautifully and it doesn’t hurt to have her very suave looking boyfriend Johannes Huebl as an accessory. Photos were taken in March 2012 at a photo shoot inΒ Tuileries Park, Paris.

I don’t consider myself a ‘shoe’ person even though my bf reminds me all the time that I’ve accumulated more shoes in the past two years in London than I’ve owned my entire life time but I just find it hard to say ‘no’ to the variety, quality and designs in Europe and just find them generally really affordable (especially at sale time).

I’d love to own a pair of Christian Louboutins or Charlotte Olympia shoes one day! Do youΒ own a pair of Christian Louboutins ? I’m curious to know how comfortable they are on and how much wear you get out of them … Where’s the best place to get them and would you recommend them as an investment ?
